ETAS develop world leading operating systems, middleware, development tools, cyber security libraries and calibration tools for use in automotive software development. As part of the ETAS team, you’ll get the chance to work in a unique portion of the software industry involving model driven development, embedded systems, high performance middlewares and cyber security.

About the role

This 12 month undergraduate internship offers you a varied insight into a fast paced, agile forward looking business where no two days are the same. It offers you valuable experience in a range of key business areas including Finance and Operations. The varied workload will allow for both personal and professional development. Full training will be given and support will be offered in areas that may be more challenging by managers and colleagues at all times.

In this role you can expect to be working closely with our accounts team supporting both accounts payable and receivable and with accounting reporting tools. You can be involved with event planning and organisation, in addition to ad hoc support for recruitment and HR activities. Overall, we give you real work and you will be expected to have responsibility for your own deliverables, but always with the support of your team.

We would develop your leaning and give you responsibility in certain areas, like expenses and the processes involved in all areas of the finance team.  You would be heavily involved in the day to day accounting transactions in SAGE 200 specifically in purchase ledger, bank and account receivable. You would receive guidance and training on all aspects of accounting and we would integrate you into the day to day running and reporting within the finance team.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate in their penultimate year of university.
  • High attention to detail, and be able to deal with confidential information.
  • Keen interest in Business Operations, Finance and HR.
  • Ability to work with basic accounts information.
  • Able to take ownership for projects and work to time limits.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
