About the role
During your Placement as a Cost Consultant, you will be assisting senior cost consultants with a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Estimating and producing cost plans in Causeway CATO
- Checking costs
- Conducting valuations
- Analysing final accounts
- Measurement exercises, including the preparation of schedules of quantities for building element
- Drafting procurement documentation, monthly reports and tender reports
- Supporting the tender process
- Assisting with variations and change control processes
- Attending client meetings
Requirements
- First, second or penultimate year undergraduate
- Grade 4/C or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
- Evidence of significant extra-curricular activities that demonstrate drive and excellent interpersonal skills
- A passion for a career in Project Management within the Built Environment industry
- An understanding of the project life cycle and the roles and responsibilities of project teams
- Ability to adapt and add value to different teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A drive to deliver results
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload
