Having been given the honour of Dean’s List is the best way to culminate my degree, It feels like it’s the cherry on top of the cake.
As an international student I struggled a lot on getting my first job, because I didn’t have much experience at all. But I decided to create my own work experience by creating an online business, which really gave me the skills I needed to acquire roles at the university and also off campus.

Having a reference from the Dean will look really good on my CV, it’s a really good recognition. It’s also something I can put on my LinkedIn profile, to say I’m a student who made an active contribution to the Management School.

Emma Louise Perkins UG winner:

Whilst the application was tough, it was an enjoyable process and it’s really helped me with applying for jobs now, as everything is fresh at the top of my mind.

Receiving the Dean’s List is a great honour to me, because as an international student it be difficult to overcome barriers and explore all of the opportunities. So the Dean’s List means a lot, I could tell all my hard work paid off finally.

Elise Brodie McDonald UG winner:

It means so much to be awarded the Dean’s List, it’s really nice to celebrate it alongside graduation and makes the whole thing a bit more special and be recognised for all of the hard work you’ve out in over the years.
My advice would be take part in whatever you can and try and get involved wherever is possible. Try and keep a note of what things you have contributed to the school and extracurricular activities you have done so that they are easier to remember when completing the Dean’s List application form.
