We can trace our roots back over 70 years to the founding of Golden Wonder in Edinburgh in 1947 and we have been castle-cooking the irresistible Tayto crisps at Tayto Castle in the rolling hills of Armagh since 1956. About the role

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working under direction of and supporting all UK team members covering all channels and customers i.e. major multiples, discounters, bargain stores, route to market i.e. convenience, petrol & travel, wholesale/cash & carry and food to go/out of home.
  • Covering GB brands and own label working closely with other members of the team plus wider business functions especially sales, marketing and NPD & Innovation.
  • Identify and clearly define key category and customer issues and opportunities then generate the insights needed to resolve.
  • Working with market data software as well as Excel and PowerPoint to bring alive the so what’s with recommendations to enhance sell-ins to our customers through fact based evidence.
  • Setting up market data reports and stories along with the maintenance of various reporting sets and trackers.
  • Establishing trends and highlighting any risks or opportunities.
  • Communicating weekly performances for our own and competitor products.
  • Lead in depth review sessions with the sales team establishing business opportunities and risks from the data.
  • Weekly new listings and distribution changes up-dating and circulating.
  • Category, market and competitor activity monitoring by retailer and channels.
  • Weekly pricing monitoring and reporting for multiples and discounters.
  • Weekly wholesaler supplier performance reporting and TGL’s performance context.
  • Store/venue and cash & carry audit work as required.

Requirements

Qualifications, experience and IT skills:

  • General relatable work experience e.g. within retail, hospitality etc.
  • Currently undertaking a Degree, Educated to Degree Level or equivalent
  • Microsoft skills including advanced Microsoft Excel and intermediate PowerPoint
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Full UK driving license

  • Highly numerate & analytical
  • Strong planning & organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Comfortable with presenting to both small and larger groups of colleagues
  • Able to work effectively in managing time and prioritising workload
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding
  • Understanding of and interest in grocery, FMCG and food
