Graduate Business Engagement Coordinator at The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)

About the company

The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) has a proven track record of not only making ground breaking discoveries through our research and development, but also creating new businesses and helping businesses to innovate and grow, for the economic benefit of the UK.

To grow our portfolio, and meet the needs of early stage technology businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), a graduate opportunity has become available as a Business Engagement Coordinator to support new business opportunities within STFC’s Business Incubation team at Daresbury Laboratory.

About the role

This opportunity will support two European Regional Development Funded Programmes (ERDF); LCR 4 START and Cheshire & Warrington 4.0. These programmes enable businesses in the Liverpool City Region and Cheshire and Warrington local regions to access fully funded support to adopt new industrial digital technologies by accessing our additive manufacturing and digital prototyping expertise. These businesses will range from tech start-ups to more established SME’s that require specialist support to develop and de-risk new products and services.

The successful candidate will work closely with the business engagement manager to ensure that our business clients align with the eligibility and funding criteria and will assist in bringing projects to a satisfactory completion. Working closely with our marketing team, you will also identify case studies for project promotion and impact.
