Marketing 6-month Internship at Belvoir Castle

About the company

Belvoir Castle is an historic castle and the stately home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland. The beautiful Leicestershire estate is situated between the towns of Grantham and Melton Mowbray.

The Castle’s Marketing and Public Events team is responsible for increasing the awareness and driving visitors to this extraordinary Regency castle, the formal gardens and parkland and the Engine Yard; the Estate’s retail village restored from old estate buildings and now a centre of excellence for local food, drink and artisan shops. The team is also responsible for organisation, delivery and promotion of events such as Opera, re-enactments, Festival of the Horse, and various Christmas installations.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual with an appetite to get stuck in and learn, providing assistance to our Marketing and Events Managers.

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Social Media – generating content for all social media accounts; video reels, images, captions, Instagram stories.
  • Marketing Content Creation – writing and producing creative content for blog articles, mailchimp campaigns, social media, website etc.
  • Friends of Belvoir Annual Passes – supporting Pass marketing initiatives. Distributing passes, maintaining customer information in Mailchimp and helping to implement membership rewards, exclusive events, offers and discounts.
  • Customer service communications – responding to google business and TripAdvisor reviews and social media comments and messages.
  • Events – assisting in organisation and set up for events, photo shoots and seasonal garden/castle trails, including some weekend event support on occasion.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • An interest in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign or Canva
  • Good customer service skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • A clear communicator, both spoken and written
